§2.2 · Shooting
SQ Remap
Picks the button you hold to get a plain, un-rhythmed Square shot while Button Rhythm is on. Default L3.
01Purpose
SQ Remap is Button Rhythm's escape hatch. Some shots you want raw — no rhythm sweep at all. Instead of turning Button Rhythm off in the menu, you hold the remap button while pressing Square and that one shot goes out as a plain Square press.
02Control
- Raw shot
- Hold the remap button + press Square
- Choose the button
- Menu page 5, D-pad Up/Down cycles L3 / R3 / L1 / R1
03Range / Default
| Setting | Value |

| Options | L3 / R3 / L1 / R1 |
| Default | L3 |
| With Button Rhythm off | Page shows Off (inert) |
04Adjustment
No millisecond value. Up/Down on the page steps through the four buttons. Pick one you do not already use during a shot.
05Notes
- If you set the remap to R3, the Auto-Green click moves to L3. With L3, L1 or R1 the Auto-Green click stays on R3. See 2.3 Auto-Green.
- Right Fade is triggered by R2 + R3. If your remap is R3, be aware both features listen to that stick click; test in MyCourt before a Rec game.
- The page is inert when Button Rhythm is off — there is nothing to escape from.
